JU KAI is a South Korean visual artist who explores the structure of emotion through points, lines, and planes.
Influenced by Kandinsky’s visual theory and trained in both fine art and psychology, she transforms intangible feelings into layered, geometric compositions.
JU KAI handcrafts thick Hanji—traditional Korean paper made from Dak fiber—and combines printmaking processes and sculptural techniques such as carving, pressing, and layering. Her work captures the rhythms of emotion as they emerge, shift, and settle over time. Through this meditative process, she reflects on how emotion leaves quiet traces in memory, material, and space.
